MY 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER CONCERT EXPERIENCE (and meeting my internet bff)

I am sorry how bad I am with blogging, whoops..

Anyways I am going to talk about my weekend away in Auckland AT THE 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER CONCERT.

So after school on Wednesday the 17th June 2015, I went and stayed at my friends house then on the morning of Thursday the 18th June we got up and it was raining, windy and starting to snow, this was the day of the concert.. My friend and I were scared we weren't going to make it out of the airport. So we all rushed around and got our bags in the car, the driveway was fine but there was so much water, when we got on the road, parts of the roads were flooding. We made a stop off at the petrol station to get snow chains because on the radio they said to take them just incase as it was snowing in Queenstown (where we were going to fly to Auckland from ). When we got to the airport and ate some Burger King, we had to run(with our bags) in snow and the time we got inside we were covered in snow. (bare in mind I was in converse, a mini skirt and crop top and a scarf without no jacket)

My friend, her Mum, brother and I had checked in we had sat down but my friend (lets call her P) and I we still freaking out because all morning flights had been cancelled but luckily ours wasn't cancelled. We had about 1.5 hours to wait as we got there earlier than we needed because of the weather so P and I decided we'd go find wifi (we found some) so we sat at a wall (WITH WALL CHARGERS) and decided to take selfies and use the wifi..

THE PLANE RIDE
After a long scary morning we finally got on the plane. Flying out of Queenstown was beautiful holy moly.. The mountains covered in snow and the lake, woah it was beautiful.. Anyways it was a good flight to Auckland with a little turbulence, but that didn't matter because the staff were nice and so was the flight... We had conversations about 5 Seconds of Summer about who they were with the air hostess and we got cookies.

IN AUCKLAND
Finally we landed in Auckland! It was 5:00pm(ish) and we still had to go to baggage claim and then get to the concert. After about 15 minutes we got our bags and P and I ran to the closest ATM to get some merch money out and then we got to the taxi..
The taxi dropped us off at our hotel (took us about 30-40 minutes because rush hour traffic ugh) and we ran to our rooms because we were so excited.. It was 6:15pm and we got everything ready and got downstairs. P, her brother, her nana, her Mum and I started our venture off to VECTOR ARENA, we got the Auckland vibe while walking down.. We got half way and I found a group of girls going to the concert with one of my friends so P's family ditched us and we walked there with them.

AT VECTOR ARENA
We got to Vector and went in the line for merchandise. We met so many girls and got talking about the boys, then we got near the front (it took about less than 5 minutes) and I saw a photo of Calum and I nearly fainted (oml embarrassing) and my heart was racing and I was hyperventilating and the girls around me were very worried omg.. Anyways it was MY turn to get some merch, I only took $100 (stupid me omg) but I got a ROWYSO tour tee with the dates on the back and all 4 on the front and I bought a plush Ketchup toy! When we got in to the arena we found another merch store P got us 2 bracelets each that I wear everyday.
I was so excited being in there that I didn't know what I wanted to say.. At one point I wanted to just sit down and calm myself but I didn't, I went to my seat. My friend (lets call her E) was texting me and she was in soundcheck so she was right at the front (3 rows back from the stage) and she rang me and then we finally saw each other but we obviously couldn't go and meet because I couldn't get over there so anyways it finally was the point when State Champs came on, they were amazing just by the way so definitely check them out if you haven't already.. anyways that went really quick and it was the 2 minute countdown for 5 Seconds of Summer to come out and I was freaking out and it was amazing time but the longest 2 minutes of my life. FINALLY THE TWO MINUTES ENDED AND THE BOYS CAME OUT AND THEY LOOKED BEAUTIFUL AND SOUNDED AMAZING AND IT WAS PERFECT but it felt like it was over in 2 minutes. You know when the bring up someone to play the boys guitars? Yeah well tonight they decided to bring CALUMS 9 YEAR OLD COUSIN UP ON STAGE TO PLAY BASE, aw the smile Calum had on his face was priceless. Near the end I rang up a friend (lets call her K) a few times during songs but then my phone kept on wanting to go flat so I couldn't do anything else but oh well.. But the night was amazing and definitely worth waiting what like 370+ days >.<

MEETING MY INTERNET BESTIE
Friday the 19th June 2015, I will skip to meeting one of my internet best friends..
Here we go..
So it was about 4pm-4:30pm and P, her Mum and I were walking down Queen Street (main street of Auckland) and we were shopping and getting food etc and E and I had been planning to meet all day, actually since I got tickets. All day I was nervous, I felt sick but like anxious sick.. I was so scared, like today I was going to meet one of my best friends.
It got to about 5pm and we were in Factorie and I was texting E and another girl (who is her best friend, we will call her D) and I was trying to explain where about I was on Queen Street.. P, her Mum and I were walking up and stood outside Civic theatre and then started walking up and sat outside a Starbucks. E rang me and we were describing where we were and she was down at the corner (about 20metres away) and she had told me what she was wearing and I told her what I was wearing and I spotted her in the crowd, I was shaking and was nearly in tears but I didn't cry.. I ran instead (No I didn't bother telling P or her Mum .. whoops!?) but there she was, as soon as she saw me, we ran and then hugged for a few minutes, it was one of those cliche meeting internet best friends moments that I had dreamed of, I was watching all those videos on Instagram (follow me @_official_maddy_ ) and it was such an amazing moment that I will cherish forever. I got to meet two internet friends in one day (D and E). It was a moment I will cherish forever because she means so much to me. Anyways we talked and talked for about 20-30 minutes until they had to go but we got photos. Oh it was an amazing experience that I want to do more of. I miss D and E so much to this day and I will hopefully visit them again soon!

UPDATE

Oh my lord, I haven't updated since February?? Wow that's ages ago. 

Update - So I finished my first term of year 11 (first year of exams ugh) and I am on my second week of holidays) I have an internal that is due next term and two history essays due :\ whoops .. Probably will fail.

I am going to 5 Seconds of Summer in June and I am so excited because I am going to Auckland(where I have never been). I want to go to Topshop and one of the MAC stores 😍

Not much else has happened in the past two months really apart from school which I am hating and I just want to move to New York and become a Youtuber haha.

Hmmm I am quite boring at the moment hahaha I am sorry.. If there is anything you want me to write about, tweet me ideas @pointless_maddy please I really need ideas :) 

I went to a birthday party on the 10th April 2015 and it was amazing, really enjoyed myself. 

Yeah I have nothing to update you anymore hahahah I am truly sorry that I'm a boring person.

Tanya Burr’s Milk & White Chocolate Cookies

Tanya Burr’s Milk & White Chocolate Cookies

One of my favourite hobbies ever is BAKING! I absolutely love baking. One of my favourite      things to bake is Tanya Burr's cookies that she talks about in many of her vlogs.. Also Jim talks about them a bit ;) So this week I am going to write all the ingredients and the method for Tanya Burr's Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate Cookies! Go back them and also check out her book Love Tanya!

INGREDIENTS:

200g butter

300g caster sugar

1 egg

325g self raising flour

dash of milk

200g white chocolate

200g milk chocolate

METHOD:

Set your oven to 200 degrees celsius!

First things first... whizz together your butter and sugar until it's a smooth consistency. 

Once your butter and sugar are smooth, crack your egg in and your dry ingredients and mix. 

If your mixture is dry just add a tiny bit more milk..

Yay! We are up to the best part... ADDING THE CHOCOLATE ;)

Just break all the chocolate up into the singular squares and throw into your mixing bowl. 

Once you have mixed your chocolate squares in your mixture, line 2 trays with baking paper or baking foil and prepare to get messy with your chocolate mixture! 

Using your hands, separate the mixture into 10 blobs. 

Once they are on the tray in 10 blobs, place them in your oven for 11 minutes. . .

It is vital to know that when you get them out at 11 minutes they will NOT look cooked! Don't put them in for any longer or they will be over cooked and hard once they cool! 

Once they are out, leave them to cool for 30 minutes. 

Have fun cooking them!!

Zoe Sugg  - Girl Online

I am going to write a review on Zoella's first ever novel "Girl Online." 

If you a unfamiliar with Zoella, I will tell you a few facts about her. Her name is Zoe Sugg and she is 24 years-old, she started blogging her life to just a handful of followers and now has over 7 million subscribers on Youtube. Her Youtube channel contains "follow me around vlogs", make-up and hairstyle videos, Q&A's, collaborations, and even talks about her panic attacks. She suffers with anxiety and has for a few years now(her openness about the anxiety is greatly praised by mental health charities and also by a good percentage of her subscribers who also suffer with anxiety including me.) She comes across warm-hearted and hard working and not to mention she is beautiful. Since she was young, Zoe has had a strong interest in writing stories and very creative. Zoe is the oldest out of her brother(Joe Sugg, 23). 

Girl Online is a novel aimed at teenagers, the book is great at capturing the of life, growing up and social media which is a huge part of our generation. 
Penny, the main character, is year 11 at high school who is struggling with teenage problems such as - boys, spots, mean girls, agonising over whether to end a text with kisses or a smiley-face emoticon at the end of her text's. Penny also suffers with anxiety (like Zoe does herself.)  After falling over at a school play and showing the world her knickers which was of course captured on video and posted on YouTube and Facebook, Penny goes though ultimate humiliation. Penny joins her parents on a trip to New York and her best friend Elliot joins. In New York she meets a “Rock-God-tastic" boy, Noah, who has chiselled cheekbones and chocolate brown eyes and a tragic backstory involving an avalanche. He has a secret, which you may or may not work out just after you meet him. Without giving anymore away and spoiling the surprise of the book, I will let you read this fantastic book, written beautifully. 

This book is beautifully written and just a beautiful book in general, please go get yourself a copy because you will definitely enjoy no matter what gender you are!
